Crime Watch Has New Phone Number

The South Boston Crime Watch has announced that residents can call 617-268-SAFE at anytime night or day to volunteer, to report an incident, to get information on starting block crime watches on arranging speakers to come to their group. Volunteers, beginning this week, will be manning the phones at the Crime Watch Office at 492 East Broadway during the day and into the night. When the office is closed an answering machine will take the information provided, and someone from the crime watch will get back to you, if you so desire. If you do not want to leave your name or phone number then just leave the information you want to be acted upon and it will be dispensed to the proper authorities.

The South Boston Crime Watch is actively working closely with Captain Russell and the Boston Police Department to help make our community a safer place to live. A brand new website will be going online in the very near future and a telephone tree linking is also being constructed.

It was announced last week by State Representative Brian Wallace that Ed Flynn will be coordinating the crime watch efforts starting this week. Ed Flynn will be introduced to the existing members and new
members this Saturday at 10:00AM at the Boston Police Area C-6 station and he will share his vision for the coming months at that time.
