The South Boston Neighborhood House family is pleased to announce  the Third Anniversary Mass and Scholarship Reception in remembrance of Amy K. Murray, scheduled for Thursday, April 27th.  The mass will be celebrated at St. Brigid’s Church, 845 East Broadway, at 6:30 p.m. with a reception to follow at the  Neighborhood House Doc and Mary Tynan Senior Center, located at 136 H Street in South Boston.

     Over the past few years, we have had several opportunities to recognize special individuals for their commitment to volunteerism and for living in a way that was inspired by Amy’s spirit and her legacy of service to others.   Dearest to our hearts is the Amy K. Murray Scholarship, given each year to a high school senior entering a college or university who embodies Amy’s spirit and her commitment to community service.  Past recipients of the scholarship were  Thomas McDevitt and Ellen McDonough.  This year’s recipient will be announced at the reception on April 27th.

     We hope that you will consider making a contribution to the Amy K. Murray Scholarship Fund.   Your support will allow us to continue to award this scholarship each year.   Donations can be sent to the South Boston Neighborhood House c/o the Amy K.
