|SB Resident's Group Meeting
The South Boston Residents’ Group, has scheduled a meeting for Monday April 10, 2006 @ 7:00pm at the Tynan School Cafeteria at 650 East Fourth St. The Agenda will have a report from State Trooper Dunn of the South Boston Barracks, Michael F. Collins, M.D. the new Chancellor of UMass Boston, and The Young at Arts Program.
At last months meeting the State Police report was very alarming to hear of the confiscation of 9 firearms in South Boston. Fran Collins, President of the South Boston Residents’ Group, would like to have all parents along with their children who are heading into college try and make the effort to be at this meeting to see what educational, and other opportunities are hosted at Umass Boston. “I’m excited that the new Chancellor, Dr. Michael F. Collins will be on hand to address the group with the programs the college has to offer for this community”.
Also we will have a presentation from the Young at Arts Program, a youth substance abuse prevention program based at the South Boston Community Health Center.
As usual I encourage all residents of South Boston to come and participate at this meeting.
