SBCA Banquet Friday Night at BCEC

The South Boston Citizens’ association’s capstone event, the 126th Annual Evacuation Day Banquet will be held in the Main Ballroom of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, on Friday evening, March 17, 2006. The event will begin at 5:30 with a cocktail reception and dinner at 7.

“ I am hard pressed to believe we are at this point already,” remarked Michael P. Bare, SBCA President, “ it seems as though it was just this week that we had our Kick-Off Breakfast. I am very excited about this Friday’s event, it is going to be spectacular, we have Hogan’s Goat entertaining us for the reception and dinner, with DJ Drew Errico carrying on the party after dinner . We are recognizing some of South Boston’s best citizens.” Bare continued.

Friday’s event represents 126 years of tradition for the SBCA, the event has taken place in venues all around town; the Hotel Vendome, the Copley Plaza, the Park Plaza, Dorothy Quincy Suite, World Trade Center, Boston Teacher’s Union Hall and for many year’s, Anthony’s Pier 4 Restaurant. The location has been changed this year to accommodate the expected record crowd.
