February 17, 2006
About 8:58 p.m. officers responded to ‘E’ Street and West Broadway for a robbery report. Victim reports he was walking home from work when a white vehicle pulled along side him and a male suspect got out demanding his back pack. Suspect then punched the victim to the face and grabbed the bag before fleeing the scene in the vehicle. Victim reports his cellular phones and personal papers stolen.

About 11:32 a.m. officers responded to 74 O’Callaghan Way for a report of a person wanting to turn in a firearm. Victim reports she was cleaning the house and found a shot gun she believes belonged to her ex-boyfriends son. She just wanted it out of the house. Officers secured the weapon and found that it was not loaded and had no ammunition. The weapon will be sent to the Ballistics Unit for further investigation.

About 1:00 p.m. officers from district six drug unit were in the area of Old Colony Avenue and Preble Street conducting a drug investigation. Officers observed several known drug users entering a house nearby and exiting in a hurry. Officers stopped several suspects and found them to be in possession of several packages of a white powder believed to be heroin. The investigation continues and the suspects will be appearing in South Boston District Court.

About 5:04 p.m. officers responded to 383 Dorchester Avenue at Hilti Tool Co. for a B&E to a motor vehicle. Victim reports while he was inside attending a meeting, unknown persons broke into his truck and stole a large quantity of tools. Many of these tools included assorted drills, jack hammers, sawzals, drill-bits, circular saws and numerous other small tools. About 6:10 p.m. officers responded to ‘C’ Street and West Broadway for an armed robbery in progress. Victims report that several females approached them and stated “Don’t make me pull out my knife, give me all your stuff”. Victims turned over jewelry and cash to the suspects who then fled on foot down West Broadway. Officers broadcast a description of the suspects and searched the MBTA Broadway Station. Officers found several females matching the description of the suspects. Victims were brought to the station and a positive identification was made by the victims. Officer recovered from the suspects several black handled knives along with assorted jewelry and cash that belonged to the victims. Suspects placed under arrest and transported to district six for booking.
February 21, 2006
About 10:30 p.m. victim walked into District Six to report while her vehicle was parked at 398 West Broadway unknown persons entered her unlocked vehicle and stole property. Missing were a handbag, RCA MP3 player, and two Cellular phones.
About 1:24 p.m. officers responded to the area of 400 Dorchester Avenue for a B&E to a motor vehicle. Victim reports several occupants of a motor vehicle smashed a window and stole a power drill. The suspects then fled the area towards ‘D’ Street. The vehicle was reported stolen several days earlier from Brighton. There has been an increase in the B&E’s to motor vehicles in the area of Dorchester Avenue all involving the theft of power tools from work vehicles.
