| Rep. Wallace Teams with TERi January 9 at Library |
If you son or daughter is planning on attending College next year, or is thinking about attending college in the near future, representatives from TERi will be in South Boston on January 9th. TERI is one of the most outstanding college access programs in the country. TERi representatives will provide free information and assistance with the financial aid application process, as well as 2006 FAFA, CSS profile, and scholarship searches.
TERi has asked State Representative Brian Wallace to help facilitate some of the local meetings, as well as arranging smaller meeting with school groups, community groups, schools etc. Nobody has the pulse on the community like Rep Wallace. When we explained that we were trying to help local students get into college, he made himself available and has been working with us ever since. Rep Wallace will be available to talk to parents and students at our next South Boston financial aid night on Monday January 9th at the South Boston Public Library at 6:30 p.m..
“I have heard a lot about the TERi program and when they called, I was more than happy to meet with them, to introduce them to our community. Their counselors provide free advice and information on accessing college and other career building programs. They assist in completing school applications, financial aid and testing programs. They help with scholarship programs and applications. They also go into schools and talk to the kids about college as early as the sixth grade, which is fine with me,” Rep Wallace stated.
This is a free program and is open to any and all students who want to put college in their future. Refreshments will be provided.
