| SB Resident Parking Program Update |
The Boston Transportation Department has recently installed the signage for the fifth phase of the South Boston Resident Parking Program. Warning notices are being issued this week with the issuance of parking tickets on Thursday, December 22. As part of Phase V, signs have been installed on streets boarded by East Broadway, L Street, Columbia Road and G Street.
Work is currently underway on Phase VI of this project which is anticipated to take eight phases to fully complete.
Residents who have not yet applied for their resident parking permits should apply for them at the Office of the Parking Clerk. The Office of the Parking Clerk is located in Room 224 of Boston City Hall and is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 4:30 PM. To obtain a resident permit, you must present your valid vehicle registration.
The vehicle must be registered in your name at your current address. You must also provide proof of residency for this address in the form of a current utility bill, credit card bill or bank statement. The proof of residency must be in the same name and address as the vehicle registration.
South Boston residents and merchants with questions or comments regarding the resident parking program, or any other Transportation Department issue, are encouraged to contact the Boston Transportation Department at 617-635-4-BTD.
