| Give an "Old Colony Basket" |
These are people who have given much to the South Boston community over two or three generations. This year, the Old Colony Taskforce is requesting donations to make their "Adopt a Senior Holiday Basket Program" a great success. A total of 75 more baskets is needed to provide a gift basket for every Old Colony senior.
The baskets will be made up of winter items. They will contain gloves, hats, scarves, slippers, robes, pajamas, jackets, and so on. The cost of each basket is approximately $30.
We members of the Old Colony Taskforce hope that businesses, agencies, families, and individuals will adopt one senior this season.
There are four ways to help the Old Colony seniors:
1.- Adopt a senior this season (call 617-988-3435 to be assigned to a senior).
2.- Contribute either cash or in-kind goods to make baskets with.
3.- Set up a collection bin at your place of work to collect items.
4.- Ask your families, friends, and co-workers to sponsor a senior as well.
The warm items you contribute will not only be appreciated; they are also an absolute necessity during the impending cold winter months. We would be happy to include a card in the baskets to let the seniors know how you have helped the Taskforce with the Senior Basket Program.
We appreciate your generosity, and we wish you the very best during the Holiday Season and for the New Year. If you need further information, please call 617-988-3435.
Sincerely,
Heidi Fritz
