                            The Ollie Road Race, 2005

This was the 65th running of the Ollie Road Race, the USATF-New England Five Mile Championship

Uta Pippig pumps up the 930-person field just minutes before the start.
JADA, the popular local vocalizers, give their rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner".
The starting siren sounds, "And the-e-e-r-r-re off!"
The yellow-shirted Ollie Road Race volunteers were everywhere.  They worked harder than the racers.
All 930 runners clear the starting line and head for daylight.
Heidi Westerling takes first place among the women racers at 27:42.
Mark Morris, the overall winner, hits the five-mile finish line at a swift 24:19 (a 4:52 per mile pace).
Second-place Casey Moulton clears the finish line at 24:28.
