"Harbor of Hope" Auction

September 1st brings a “Harbor of Hope” Auction and Cocktail Reception for South Boston Community Health Center

Hope comes in many forms. For the patients of South Boston Community Health Center, it often comes in the form of a caring touch, or the knowledge that you have a place to turn to when you are worried about a sick child or an aging parent. For over 40 years, the South Boston Health Center has been a harbor of hope for people in South Boston seeking care in their community. Young or old, insured or uninsured, all who seek car are welcome through their doors

On Wednesday, September 1, at the spectacular Boston Harbor Hotel Wharf Room, we have a chance to celebrate that hope. That’s the evening that the Health Center will be hosting their “Harbor of Hope” Auction and Cocktail Reception.  It promises to be a great evening with the grand items the health center auctions have become famous for – A villa in Tuscany for the week; a three course dinner/cooking lesson at Stir for 6 people with renowned Chef Barbara Lynch; a weeklong stay in spectacular Acapulco; a tour of the White House with Congressman Lynch; a rambling 10 bedroom on Cape Cod with 250 feet of private beach….the list goes on.

This year, they are also honoring two individuals and two institutions that have made significant contributions to those they serve. Frank Doyle, Boston HealthNet Plan; Arthur Murphy of Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane; the staff of the Mass. League of Community Health Centers; and Boston Medical Center will all be honored. Renowned auctioneer Dan Flynn will serve as MC and auctioneer and is sure to add to the evening’s festivities. The evening has been generously underwritten by Intercontinental Real Estate and Partners HealthCare.

The bar will be open, the buffet with be scrumptious, the live and silent items will be varied for every budget. The event starts at 6:30 pm and you should be there to support this wonderful neighborhood institution!

For ticket information, please contact Margaret Lynch at 617-464-7505 or Susan LaPaglia at 617-464-7504. Don’t miss this one!
